Projects worth ₹46,000 crore launched for rapid development of Jammu and Kashmir

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi initiated a series of development projects in Jammu & Kashmir, encompassing foundation stone laying, inaugurations, and dedications. These projects, collectively valued at over Rs 46,000 crore, are expected to significantly contribute to the region’s infrastructure and overall progress. The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to fostering growth and prosperity in Jammu & Kashmir.

 

During his visit, the Prime Minister unveiled projects across key sectors such as infrastructure, power, railways, healthcare, education, tourism, and urban development. The launch event witnessed participation from local leaders, officials, beneficiaries, and thousands of citizens.

 

The projects span key sectors including roads, railways, energy, healthcare, education, and urban development. These initiatives aim to enhance connectivity, boost employment, and improve public services across the Union Territory. Major highlights include new road and tunnel infrastructure, hydropower projects, upgraded hospitals and schools, Smart City developments, and expanded railway connectivity.

 

The initiatives are expected to generate substantial employment opportunities and accelerate socio-economic growth in the region.
